Wasteland of Desire is a theoretical exhibition that takes place at the Art Gallery of Alberta. It showcases the works of artists from the Symbolism movement such as Odilon Redon, Gustave Moreau, and Gustav Klimt.

Symbolism was a late 19th century art movement that originated in Belgium and France. Artists used symbolism and metaphor to create haunting, dream-like imagery that explored the unconscious mind and sought to discover absolute truth.

Interactive areas for guests to enjoy written works and plays associated with the movement. The reading room is inspired by photographs of artists' studios.
Project completed in collaboration with Kathleen Roos.
